The kit is on its way to me and I've contacted the owner of RLM 66. Looks like this project has the green light and I'll keep you all informed of the progress.

Just unwrapped the pressies and the Routemaster book was amongst them, what a superb read, recommended!

Anyone who visited the BTB stand at Huddersfield will have seen my "as per kit" Routemaster RML (although it's green). When I've applied the cream stripe I'll post a piccy. They will also have seen the early gestation of my next project, an articulated double-decker based rather loosely on something that was alive in Calcutta in 1995, and possibly still is. I had taped various bits of bare plastic together, and drawn on them to show what my intentions were, then perched it on the back of my chosen tractor unit: a Merc 1628s already converted into a Serbian FAP. I asked Heritage Photo Archive for permission to publish a link to their picture of the real vehicle, and Ken Howarth very kindly sent me the actual photo by e-mail, without the watermark. Because of the method of posting, I can't really forward it, but here's the address. heritagephotoarchive.co.uk/p220281241/h2e86cc7e#h2e86cc7e Why not take a look at the rest of the site whilst you're there? I have now cut and pieced the outer side panels, more to follow in due course.
