I've got two spare wheels and tyres Dave, they're yours if you want them. Thanks Nick, will you be at Huddersfield or Milton Keynes next year? If so I'll pick them up then. Just got to work out the sizes to suit the van and how to stretch the chassis !!! A bottle of red and a plate of cheese and biccies should get the brain working (or shut down) one or the other. Have a good christmas everybody, hope santa's good to you Dave

Ah, while we are on the subject of spares, I don't suppose anybody has 4 van wheels/tyres (or something of similar size) they could part with? Thanks in advance Brian Yes Brian, I seem to have several spare van wheels and tyres. That's great - will you be at Huddersfield? Brian

I'll be at Huddersfield Brian, but if you need the wheels and tyres posting before then that's not a problem.

Hopefully I will make Huddersfield this year but, if not, I will take you up on your offer to post them. Thanks.

Hi Folks, well now I've sobered up this is what I got up to over christmas, some working drawings. Looking at these in the light of day I'm thinking it's going to be a bit big? Still inside the guide sizes but I'm not sure about the proportions with the front of the van? Van or landrover up front any thoughts anybody? Dave

Dave, why not use the front of the van, scratch a chassis and let the thingyness of it all take over ...

Dave Dave, just use the basic idea of the house truck and build the model using imagination, put your own ideas into it rather than building a replica, that's how I went about building the camper for Airfix: beyondtheboxsig.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=cosb&action=display&thread=23&page=1

I put some photos on a different thread, but I prefer to surprise everyone at the show rather than give the game away. The motorbike is finished and obviously going to tow something, but these simple ideas seem to get more complicated as they go along. The original sidecar kit is gradually being swallowed by scratchbuilt parts. The aeroplane now is now carrying a packing trunk on its luggage rack, and the towball will pull a caravan based on a leftover plane fuselage. In both cases the presentation will be as important as the models. I also have a non-W&G demountable on a 1/24 pickup if there is room on the "serious" side.
