Wallace and Gromit as Tomb Explorers in Egypt. I was perusing the forum from the Dolls House Emporium and noticed an item from a really different build, I enquired where the main components came from and ordered a couple. Want to know more, well, details soon but this could be a really spooky build.

Here's the the basic ingredient for our story ... Mustafa! ... ... he's a little rough around the edges, but then you would be after being left in a tomb for 3,000 years, the story will be unravelled shortly.

The progress so far! ... ... the base was given a coating of PVA glue and then a covering of kiln dried sand was applied and rolled flat, I'll apply more sand as the build progresses. The walls were made from balsa, scribed and glued into place. I'm attempting to find a suitable wrapping for Mustafa, thin linen bandage? I've also got to decide how to pose Wallace and his assistant Gromit.

Looking at this build I need to raise the back wall slightly and give Mustafa a coat of bandages. I'm going to treat this as a Christmas build and get in the workshop over the festive period, I'll post a progress report ASAP! As Airfix now have most of my display stock, I need to have a couple of quick builds done for the first show of the year, Huddersfield.

I think this could be an ideal candidate for a demonstration at Hobbycraft, Tamworth at the weekend. PVA, strips of tissue and a lot of patience ... with a break for mince pies and a chat obviously!

I need a serious rethink about this build, maybe something to be considered for 2013?
