Morning folks. Another nut case here I suppose I was introduced to modeling with my dad and grandad at a very early age. My dad worked for Chad Valley toys so I was seeing all kinds of different things come my way including the model kits he would build for fun. The problem was I was more in the deconstruction than the construction..... You know the old 'lets see if this Lancaster or Vulcan bomber actually flies! My grandad did alot of building too, but his models always fell apart. I think this was down to the heavy layer of cigarette smoke residue on all his creations, anything white alwas turned yellow! .... When his display shelf got to full he would demote a model and pass it to me to play with. With all these built kits (mostly in broken form) i would glue them back together to make some thing else.... the majority of the creations were space ships made from engine parts and plane bodies..... Today I like to try my hand at any genre but love to scratch build closely followed by truck models. When looking for a build its not what it is that attracts me but wether I will enjoy buildning it.... after all its a hobby not a chore.....
