Pats Build(s) Progress Pics added 18/08

I'd started to weather this and add some patina to the paintwork and decided to seal the first layer with matt clear varnish. Aaaaaarrrrrrrrggggggghhhhh it's come out semi gloss not a happy teddy at the moment means I've got some serious weathering to do to address the issues.

Ok the build has been stalled recently due to a change of job and other little bits and pieces going on. But I'm going to take some pics this afternoon to show progress so far. The van itself is 85% finished an the base about 50% done.
Just needs some items painting and all the little details finishing off.

Ok I realised I've put the pics on Facebook on a regularish basis but not here. So here are pics of the progress as it happened up to this morning.
Decalling started


Used Decalset for the first time and super impressed with the results

And the interior Porsche seats and steering wheel fitted in the front.

And here is the progress as of this morning. I had some bases from Northern Roads I was going to use for a different build but thought they'd be ideal for this diorama instead. The base is loosely based on the car parks near the Spa in Scarborough where all the surfers park to get the early surf and I've raided the parts box and various other bits and pieces to add to the effect of what I'm after.




I've still got a lot of painting and detailing to do to complete the diorama but I think it's getting there steadily.
