Within a book of European fire trucks I've had for some time are photographs of several WWII vehicles which have been converted to civilian use and painted my favourite red colour. Amongst the vehicles in the book is a converted Kettenkrad which has been used in Austria and I think this will be another build for consideration, especially as the kit in question is the old Esci 1/16 scale version.

Ooooh - interesting one Nick - the Kettenkrad is not enormous! Took loads of pictures of a lovely one at Retro a few years back - but I wouldn't have guessed that sort of conversion.

It looks to have been used as transport from one of the fire stations and is now preserved, I'll get a picture up as soon as I can. I like the size of the Esci kit as it's large enough to add detail.
