For those of you who enjoy model railways but are also fans of the 'Beyond the Box' SIG, we'll be attending the annual Nottingham East Midlands Model Railway Exhibition at the Harvey Hadden on the weekend of March 16th / 17th 2013: www.nottingham-modelrailway.org.uk/ ... slight change to the venue this year, it's in the school next to the Sports Centre due to building work. This show has become a regular event for us as they keep asking us back, look out for 'Passion for Plastic' when you come to the show. So far Ian Sadler and myself will be attending. Paul Findon was supposed to be attending but I've just heard that he's scheduled for surgery that weekend to remove a large kidney stone which has been giving him a fair amount of pain over the past year or so, will it be used as part of a diorama Paul?

We're out again next weekend at Hinckley for the East Midlands Model Show: www.eastmidsmodelclub.co.uk/index.htmlThe team will be Ian Sadler and myself at the moment, if anyone else wishes to join us please let me know. We're concentrating on the 'Beyond the Box' builds at this showand we have 6' of table space so it's going to be a tad limited on what we can display.

Started sorting out what's making the way up to Perth before I head to work. I'll finish tomorrow morning and then start loading the car before I'm off to work again and then finish it off Thursday morning before starting the Roadtrip north.

Note to the away team for Perth this weekend which for this trip will be Fatty, Pat, Ian and yours truly and the support crew to include Sue, Linda, Claire and Woo and a very special guest, so Ian, no beans for breakfast, we don't want any strange squeaking noises. Dress code for the duration is Hawaiian, Mr Sadler is advised to keep his vest on as the weather can be changeable north of the border and we know how easily he catches a cold, the sight of Linda applying goose grease can leave a scar for life. The ladies are also advised to keep their vests on, we'd like the visitors to look at the models on display and apart from that it's not that sort of show! Music ... Beach Boys ... how can you play anything else at a luau? ... Oh yes, enjoy the weekend!
