Hi Charles, sorry about the miss understanding I shouldn't post when I've come off nights (or reread what I've written).
Both Ian and Malc have a spare roof sections that you may be able to join together to make your raising bit, (have a look on google for the Austin Suntor A-55 /60. The raised bit is just like a second whole roof over the original, but the cut out doesn't run the full length of the car, easier to see the picture than describe it.
A mate in work has lent me a 1963 caravaning/ camping mag which has adverts in it for the old Bedfords and such like campers, there is some shots of the campers with the doors open, the views inside aren't brilliant but give some ideas for the inside set ups. If you'd like a copy of them I can either post them to you (best) or I can try emailing (Nick will tell you electronics aren't my best topic!!!) If you think you can make some use of them let me know.
Pleased you cut plastic before me as I think my original idea will be easier than using the van!!
Regards Dave
