I'm aiming to use the 'Wallace and Gromit' motorbike as the motive power for the caravan, other items will I'm sure just pop into place during the build.

This looks rather like Evergreen's "Novelty" sheet, 6mm spacing.
"V-groove" might do, at a pinch. I've used "Board & Batten", where the grooves are replaced by raised strips, but mine is non-W&G in 1/24, and the spacing is 1.9mm.

Sorry, still thinking in 1/24. The Novelty spacing would need to be bigger than 6mm, and I can only find it up to 3.8mm so far.

Looks like V-groove, then.
Since my last post I have seen Evergreen's own website: they list 9.3mm Novelty only in 12" x 24" sheets.
By the way, I was at the Caravan show in Manchester last week (where I ordered a new 'van) and I discovered a demountable caravan on the back of a Ford Ranger. I was surprised to find that even in the rear overhang, the floor is still level with the pickup bed, and the internal headroom is 6'6".

I had a couple of hours in the workshop yesterday which turned out quite productive ...   ... however, I'm not quite happy with the result as the present build would put me down the trailer route. The rear wheel setup is temporary at the moment but I had thought of stretching the frame and building directly onto the bike in a similar way to the original pic. Back into the workshop today, time for a coffee and a quick ponder! |

I think I'm at the stage where I need to decide on which animals to include in this build. Shaun and Timmy are in the front of the queue for this one so far, of course things may change, you how how these builds progress ...  |

A little more work on the bike today. I realised that to have two wheels to the rear, the bike has to have a differential ...  ... this was cut from an old 1/16 Ford Model T axle and modified. I've also added a few more of the kit parts on the engine including kick start and foot operated gear change. The exhaust has also been modified slightly ...  ... the tailpipe will have the fin like attachment so common on early British motorbikes. I now have to work out how to add a tow hitch to the rear of the bike, more soon ... |

Whilst attending the Harvey Hadden railway show last weekend, I managed to spend some time on this build. I've cobbled together an 'A' frame for the tow bar ...   ... just as I'd started to glue the first bits together, one of the visitors to the show asked what I was building? When I explained that I was building a trike and showed him the pictures, he told me that he built 1:1 trikes and asked if I needed assistance? ... well, game on, what a nice bloke. |
